About Sussex Bay
Sussex Bay leads incredible efforts to protect and enhance our local precious marine and coastal environments. Sussex Bay launched in Brighton in June 2024 and is co-producing a blueprint for seascape recovery over the years ahead, as they build up £50M for nature-led recovery and engage communities around their work.
Sussex Bay Creates: Tide and Place
WRAP and Sussex Bay invite you to 'Tide and Place'. An exhibition by UK-based artists exploring our relationship with the sea and coastline.
WRAP and Sussex Bay have partnered with local artists under the banner ‘Sussex Bay Creates’ to demonstrate the ability of art to bring us together to learn, explore and experience, resulting in a programme of curated exhibitions and responses.
'Tide and Place' explores how we interact, inhabit, narrate and think of the marine environment, both individually and on a collective scale. In the middle of the Anthropocene crisis, how can we reinforce our position as part of nature, rather than apart from it? The exhibition will reflect a variety of mediums, practices and community initiatives, resulting in a dynamic conversation between the self and the sea.
We are looking forward to seeing you to the Private View on Friday 24th April, 6-9 PM. Please reserve a place by pre-booking tickets here.

A space that breathes…
From textiles and photography, to painting and prints, we pride ourselves in providing a free exhibition space to local artists in our Business Centre.
Reciprocity is where it’s at with art at WRAP! By providing free space to exhibit work, WRAP’s spaces are brought to life with the varied and vibrant work of local artists. In turn, the artists’ work - which would otherwise be taking up much needed space in their studios - can be seen and sold in between proper exhibitions, shows, and sales.
We look for work to fill our spaces for around 6 months at a time, and the work can be sold through WRAP.
