Committed to People and Planet
When we opened WRAP in 2021 we decided to place sustainability at the forefront of every decision we made.
Five years later, our commitment hasn’t changed and we are now on a mission to become a stronghold for businesses and organisation championing sustainability and use our space for good.
Sustainable Practices
Business Centre & WRAP Nursery
-
We source our electricity from a renewable energy provider, ensuring that our operations run on clean energy.
-
Our business centre and nursery use energy-saving LED light bulbs, smart plugs, and encourage staff to unplug all equipment at the end of the day to minimise energy consumption.
-
We have actively cut down on single-use plastics across our nursery and business centre. We also use rechargeable batteries to further reduce waste.
-
Our cleaning products are eco-friendly, and we prioritise sustainable materials in our daily operations.
-
Our partnerships with local businesses, such as our coffee supplier, ensure that packaging is recyclable, and products are sourced as locally as possible.
-
We have recycling bins placed all around the nursery, business centre, and meeting rooms, as well as food waste bins in all of the kitchen areas to ensure proper waste sorting and reduction.
WRAP Nursery
-
All food prepared at WRAP Nursery is plant-based, reducing our carbon footprint and promoting sustainable eating habits.
-
Children engage in activities that promote an appreciation for nature, such as nature walks and outdoor play.
-
We teach children about the food cycle by growing, harvesting, and preparing food for our plant-based menu.
-
Through play-based activities, we help children understand the importance of water conservation, energy efficiency, and waste reduction.
-
The nursery uses natural materials like wood, stone, and sand for play, avoiding plastic toys where possible.
-
We have a dedicated recycling area and encourage parents to continue sustainable habits at home by involving them in our recycling programs.
-
To minimise waste, we use reusable cloth nappies instead of disposable ones.
-
We encourage parents and children to walk or cycle to the nursery, reducing the environmental impact of daily commutes.
Our pledge to Better Business
WRAP is proud to support the Better Business Act Coalition, a campaign to transform the way we do business by changing the law so that every single company in the UK, whether big or small, takes ownership of its social and environmental impact.
Joining the Better Business Act network aligns with our belief that it’s time for a more humane way of doing business, one not driven by short-term profit but by a genuine desire to improve the world, protect our environment, and improve the lives of all, human and not.
Education and Information
At a time of crisis for many charities, galleries, community centres and third spaces, we strongly believe that owning a space should come with the responsibility of using it for good.
We partner with charities on events and workshops by providing the space in kind when possible and collaborate with local and international artists on yearly exhibitions.
We’ve also hosted a screening of the National Emergency Briefing, a 50 minute film on the nature and climate crisis being showed all across the country. We are now planning funded screening opportunities for schools and community groups, more information announced soon.
A Growing Sustainability Hub
We are a growing Community of people and organisations invested in doing our bit for people and planet. Over the years, we’ve welcomed a network of brilliant businesses, charities, non-profits and B Corps, nurturing connections and encouraging collaboration.
Wonderful things happen when different people driven by the same values cross paths, and we’re to make this happen.

1% for our Sea and Coast
Sine June 2025 WRAP Space has been donating 1% of revenue to Sussex Bay.
In the words of our Co-Founder Ed:
"One of our core values is sustainability, we are committed to sustainable operations and doing our bit for conservation and the environment. We are delighted to have the opportunity to support Sussex Bay, and their partners in their laudable endeavours. We looking forward to our continued involvement and supporting wherever we can in the years ahead".
The income will be shared initially with The Sussex Dolphin Project, to help fund a dedicated research vessel, which will enable much more valuable scientific research of the Sussex Bay marine environment.
About Sussex Bay
Sussex Bay leads incredible efforts to protect and enhance our local precious marine and coastal environments. Sussex Bay launched in Brighton in June 2024 and is co-producing a blueprint for seascape recovery over the years ahead, as they build up £50M for nature-led recovery and engage communities around their work.
