Cecilia’s world is populated by dramatic lights, a dreamlike colour palette and cinematic compositions. All these elements beautifully blend, contributing to a sense of whispered narratives hinted at behind each image.

Amongst a melting-pot of freelancers; small businesses and creatives; our members sport an array of talents both inside and outside of the workplace. Meet Zeynep, graphic designer by day and visual artist by night.

As you may know, every year we exhibit works from local artists. This year’s theme puts a focus around community stories, narratives of the city and the wonder of it’s inhabitants. Our first exhibitor is Brighton-based photographer Hugh Fox.

At WRAP I am really proud of our supportive and encouraging environment where apprentices learn from each other, from our fully qualified educators and senior staff. Our nursery children are curious, eager to learn, engaged and love interacting with our apprentices - no day is ever the same, it is a very rewarding role!

On this International Women’s Day onwards, we commit to celebrating women’s excellence in a world where gender bias still inhibits women’s growth on a daily basis. Gender bias is so ingrained and pervasive in our lives that we may not notice we are acting from gendered assumptions. However, according to a 2020 UN study on Gender Norms, 9 out of 10 people hold a bias against women. We’ve put together a small list of assumptions that may sound familiar, and, if they do, challenge you to take one action today, to help forge equality in our society.
