Feeling the SEA?

Artist and educator Lucinda Button will host a mono-printing workshop based on how to connect your feelings with the sea. Learn fundamental mono-printing techniques and simple hand stitch to create your own mixed media Art work.

This workshop is part of the Tide and Place exhibition events program, curated in collaboration and supported by WRAP and Sussex Bay. Across painting, sculpture, textiles, sound, film and more, the works in the exhibition offered multiple ways of engaging with our coastline.

About Lucinda Button

Lucinda Button, a graduate of the Glasgow School of Art, has followed a varied creative path shaped by her experiences living abroad and her lifelong connection to the natural world. From early memories of Kenyaโ€™s beaches to a career in journalism, teaching and interior design, her fascination with colour, texture and storytelling has remained constant. Today, her textile work combines these experiences with a deep concern for the environment, using textiles and recycled materials to create pieces inspired by land and sea that encourage reflection and a greater awareness of the world around us.
