We’re so excited to be working with The Parents Class, one of our newest Associate Members. Our amazing community of Associate Members are local businesses and organisations that regularly make use of WRAP for meetings and events.
The Parents Class delivers modern antenatal sessions for modern parents. Their unique classes cover all aspects of pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood, providing parents with the most up-to-date information.
We caught up with General Manager Sammy Pettitt, to find out more about The Parents Class and their time at WRAP!
Tell us about The Parents Class and what you do!
We are an antenatal education company, that runs antenatal classes across the South East. When you’re about to become a parent, it’s hard to know where to start. Our face-to-face classes are run exclusively by midwives to connect parents to the evidence-led knowledge they need to feel prepared, and a community of local parents to share their journey with.
Who are The Parents Class? Who makes up the team behind this amazing service?
Our antenatal teachers are all midwives, from all different backgrounds. Some specialise in fetal wellbeing, others in lactation consultancy, we have a fantastic team of diverse skills and a huge passion for helping parents through their pregnancy journey into early parenthood.
Behind the scenes, we have the Clinical Director - Cass McNamara – who is the creator of our antenatal courses and multi-award winning midwife of almost 30 years. Working alongside Angie, our Marketing Manager, and me - the General Manager, The Parents Class evidence-led courses have been carefully designed to meet the needs of parents-to-be, taught in thoughtfully chosen venues that optimise the whole experience of preparing for baby’s arrival.
What drew you to run your sessions at WRAP?
The versatility! We loved the idea of hosting our classes at WRAP because it has so much to offer. Functional meeting rooms of different sizes, but beautifully designed to create a home-from-home feeling. WRAP is comfortable and modern, and we feel is the perfect location for our parents-to-be to spend their time learning about everything pregnancy, birth and beyond.

WRAP is all about making life easier for working parents, even those who are parents-to-be! What are your 3 favourite things about being here?
Beautifully designed – indoor décor is modern and clean
Functional! – It has everything we need for our midwives to teach our antenatal classes.
The location – WRAP is literally a 2 minute walk from Brighton train station. You can’t get better than that!
What’s your favourite family-oriented activity in Brighton/favourite thing to do with babies/children
A trip to the seaside of course! Brighton’s seafront is the perfect spot to spend the day at the beach with family. Load up the sun cream and the picnic for a simple but fun family day!
Tell us something surprising about The Parents Class!
Our company was incorporated in October 2022 and launched in June 2023. In the space of just 8 months, we created something beautiful, valuable, and positive - from just one conversation. We now have 7 locations where our classes are held, including WRAP. And we’re still expanding!
Any tips for new parents in Brighton?
Attend our antenatal classes at WRAP of course!
Aside from that, make the most of every opportunity to connect with other families. Join Facebook groups, meet-ups with other parents-to-be and new parents. And remember you’re not alone in your journey! You have an abundance of support out there, including from The Parents Class. Favourite fact about the local area?
The Lanes, just a short walk from WRAP, were completed in 1792 – back when Brighton was known as its original settlement of Brighthelmstone.
Your top local lunch spot or place to take kids?
Too many to choose from! Starfish & Coffee opposite Queens Park definitely has a great cosy feel for the whole family, great coffee and menu options!
Best kept local secret?
By no means top secret, but Brighton beach hosts a fantastic mini golf course on Madeira Drive – the perfect family activity away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre.
Favourite nearby green space?
If you’re looking for a small green space that isn’t too crowded, a favourite would be Pelham Square. Located just off of Trafalgar St it’s the perfect blend of city ambience and calm to wind down.
