Meet the Parents: WRAP Members and the Nursery
Here at WRAP we are all about making that work-life balance easier for everyone - especially families with kids! Our fantastic on-site nursery allows our members to work upstairs, knowing their kids are safe and looked after in the same building! Easy peasy!
We caught up with Mel, one of our members who uses the nursery, to hear about her experiences. Mel is the Director of Social Firefly, a social media marketing agency who was one of the first teams to join us here at WRAP!
Hi Mel! Tell us about your Family!
My wife Eva and I are parents to our daughter Mia who is two and has been in the nursery for a year. She loves it and even asks to go on weekends.
What made you and Eva choose the WRAP Nursery?
I really liked all the staff when I visited for their open morning and felt like their approach to childcare mirrored my own. I also loved their commitment to sustainability like reusable nappies and sustainable toys
What are your top 3 favourite things about the nursery?
The staff are really lovely and as flexible as possible. I feel like Mia is well cared for and I never worry about her which is essential when leaving your child with someone.
I like that they take the children on local outings and do fun, interesting activities like Spanish lessons and sign language - things that I couldn’t teach her myself.
WRAP is super convenient - my office is upstairs in the same building! It’s great to drop my daughter off and be at my desk five minutes later, my commute is second to none.
What are Mia’s favourite things to do at nursery?
Mia loves messy play which she does a lot of at the nursery. She’s also a big fan of the climbing area and the slide. She’s a big dancer and often first on the dance floor - it’s fun to see her mid dance when I come to collect her.
Has anything surprised you about the nursery?
How many new things Mia is learning all the time. I like that the nursery staff help develop a child’s manners - she’s great at saying ‘please’ and ‘thank you’ which she wasn’t before!
Last thing - what advice would you give to new parents in Brighton?
To sign up for a nursery as soon as possible. It gets booked up super quickly!
Thank you Mel!
